Open Food Facts

Data & image: Open Food Facts · ODbL · Image CC BY-SA 3.0

Source-reported food records are cached locally. Open Food Facts contributors provide these facts and images; UNPACKD does not claim they are complete, current or scientifically verified. Reported countries do not confirm a specific formulation. Check your package, especially ingredients and allergens.

The database is licensed under ODbL 1.0, individual contents under DbCL 1.0, and source product images under CC BY-SA 3.0. Image credit: Open Food Facts contributors, linked to the original product. Images are displayed from the source without editing. Packaging may contain other protected elements. No endorsement is implied.

Open data offer

Our adapted OFF records, field provenance, normalization details and available source snapshots are offered through the public export. Follow each page’s next link to retrieve the complete cached collection. Member accounts, device/account saves, private evidence, reviews and moderation notes are excluded.

Facts from OFF are kept as independent source records; we do not silently overwrite community label editions with them. This implementation is not a legal opinion about every future combination of datasets. Source policies must be reviewed before introducing another provider or proprietary enrichment.

Contributing back

Contributors can explicitly opt in to sharing a reviewed label and both packaging photos under OFF’s open licenses. Existing submissions are not retroactively shared. Opted-in approved contributions enter a private handoff queue. Automatic publication to OFF is not active: an OFF application account, provider onboarding and the write integration are still required. We do not send your email, account identifier, review text or private reviewer notes.

Community labels and samples

Community labels are checked against contributed photos; that is not laboratory testing. Sample products are fictional and marked Sample. They are never sent to OFF as genuine records.
